The Spotted Quoll studio was established in 2010 by Tameka Bannister, driven by a vision and a deep passion for reviving local manufacturing on her island home. Her mission was to create nature-inspired sustainable fashion, homewares, and gifts that were both designed and made in Tasmania. The primary goal was to make a meaningful impact by generating employment opportunities while also supporting the local Tasmanian artisan community. From the outset, the studio adopted the ethos of being “wild at heart, ethical by nature” – a motto that they wholeheartedly embraced and fiercely upheld throughout their journey.
