Tasnique was established in March 2020 by Peter Harback in response to the challenges faced by Tasmanian makers during the Covid-19 crisis. When skilled timber artisans Bruce and Craig of Bruces Boxes suddenly lost their traditional tourist customer base, they partnered with Harback, a seasoned digital entrepreneur, to bring their products online. Tasnique's mission is to enable local Tasmanian makers like Bruce and Craig to focus on their craft while the company manages their online presence. Today, Tasnique continues to support and showcase Tasmania's finest products and remains eager to collaborate with more local creators. Tasmanian makers looking to expand their audience are encouraged to connect with the company.
