When living in Galloway, Scotland, Sally fell in love with the taste and history of the iconic savoury biscuit known as an oatcake. Her affection for them was so profound that a friend’s grandmother shared a cherished family recipe with her. This ancient recipe, originating in the Orkney Islands, had been passed down through generations from mother to daughter and finally to Sally. These oatcakes are now made by hand in a farmhouse kitchen overlooking Kooparoona Niara (the Great Western Tiers), using 100% Australian ingredients.
