Born and trained in Belgium, Lara Maeseele brings a European design sensibility shaped by international experience. Her career spans award-winning practices in London and Hobart, with projects recognised for design excellence and innovation.
Now based in nipaluna / Hobart, her practice is defined by a personal and collaborative approach to design. Working across architecture and interiors, collaborating closely with clients, craftsmen and specialists to create spaces of lasting value – purposeful, economically viable and a pleasure to inhabit. The work embraces the complexities of design, navigating planning restrictions, budgets, and lived-in needs while guiding clients toward sustainable choices through passive strategies, thoughtful detailing, and joyful design.
